Every couple who books a collection with Light & Stone reads and signs the same four documents below — read them here, then sign digitally at the bottom of the page.
This Confidentiality Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Light & Stone, a sole proprietorship operated by Kent Stone ("Photographer"), and the couple booking a wedding photography collection ("Client"), effective as of the date of digital signature below.
"Confidential Information" means all photographs, video, raw image files, edited image files, and any personal, financial, or event-related information shared by the Client with the Photographer in connection with the booking, planning, and delivery of wedding photography services — including but not limited to wedding date, venue, guest list, vendor names, family details, and any communications between Client and Photographer.
The Photographer agrees that Confidential Information will not be disclosed, published, shared, sold, licensed, or otherwise released to any third party without the Client's prior written consent, except:
The Photographer will not use any Client image for portfolio display, the Light & Stone website, social media, advertising, competitions, publications, or any other marketing or promotional purpose unless the Client has separately and affirmatively opted in via Section C below. This is a firm, standing commitment — absence of a signed release means absence of any marketing use, full stop.
Client images and information are stored using encrypted, access-controlled digital storage, with access limited to the Photographer and any confidentiality-bound personnel described in A.2. Physical and cloud backups follow the same access restrictions.
This confidentiality obligation survives indefinitely and does not expire at project completion, delivery, or termination of any other agreement between the parties.
Kent Stone, as the creator of each photograph, retains full copyright ownership of all images captured during the Client's engagement, in accordance with the U.S. Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq. Copyright is not transferred to the Client upon delivery of images.
Upon final payment and delivery, the Client is granted a personal-use license to:
This license does not permit the Client to: sell or license images to any third party, use images for any commercial purpose, submit images to competitions or publications under the Client's own name, or alter, crop, filter, or otherwise materially edit the images without the Photographer's written consent.
As stated in Section A.3, the Photographer will not use Client images for any marketing or promotional purpose without an opted-in Image Release (Section C).
This section is optional. By default, no images from your wedding are used for any marketing, portfolio, or promotional purpose. You may revoke a granted permission in writing at any time; revocation applies to future use only.
Light & Stone collects the information necessary to plan and deliver your wedding collection: name(s), contact information, wedding date and venue, guest count, and any details you share in planning consultations. Payment information is processed through a third-party payment processor; Light & Stone does not store full payment card numbers.
Client information is used solely to plan, deliver, and communicate about your wedding collection. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Light & Stone is a small sole-proprietor business and is not subject to the Florida Digital Bill of Rights' comprehensive requirements, which apply only to companies with more than $1 billion in global annual revenue meeting additional statutory criteria. Nonetheless, Light & Stone voluntarily follows the privacy-protective practices described in this policy as a matter of professional standard.
Client images are retained in secure digital archive for a minimum of one year following delivery, consistent with standard industry practice for reprint and archival requests. A Client may request deletion of personal contact information (not images subject to the archival collection) at any time by written request.
By signing below, you acknowledge you've read and agree to Sections A, B, and D above, and confirm your choice in Section C.
